General rule

Economic rights last for life + 70 years after the author's death (Art. 55(1)).

Joint authorship

70 years from the death of the last surviving co-author (Art. 56).

Anonymous and pseudonymous works

70 years after lawful publication (Art. 57).

Audiovisual works

70 years from the death of the last surviving among — principal director, screenwriter, dialogue author, and composer (Art. 56(2)).

Typically 50 years from the underlying event (performance, phonogram, videogram, broadcast).

When terms start

January 1 of the year following the triggering event (Art. 60).
