How it works

File one DM/1 application directly with WIPO or through IPPO, designating the desired member states.

Duration

Initial 5-year protection, renewable up to the maximum allowed by each member state's national law.

Advantages

• One application, one language, one set of fees.
• Later subsequent designations possible without a new application.
