What the Madrid System is

A single WIPO-administered system. Macedonia is party to both the Agreement and the Protocol.

Requirement: base national mark

An existing national application or registration in Macedonia is required.

Documents and form

How fees are calculated

Basic fee + supplementary per class above 3 + per-country designation fee (or individual fee for countries like the US, Japan).

Central attack — 5-year dependency

If the national base falls in the first 5 years, the international registration falls too. After 5 years, independence.
